This is a self-portrait of myself made entirely with pencil. This was my first time using shading in a sketch and i think i used it well with the exception of my forehead; that area is a little too dark and if i could draw this over again i definitely would have made it lighter . Because of the black undershirt I'm wearing, this portrait has a full range of value, a clear contrast between the dark shirt and my lighter skin. I'm very proud of the way my hair turned out. Even though it looks strange at first, the texture and shape in the picture accurately represent my hair in real life. Please feel free to comment.
